Joan Sebastian:

Born in Juliantla, Guerrero, on April 8, 1951 is a popular Mexican multi Grammy award winning singer and songwriter. He has composed hundreds of songs and been a regular staple on the top-40 charts in Mexico since his career began in 1977. His music is a mixture of Latin pop, ranchera and grupera music. He has won seven Latin Grammy Awards and four Grammy Awards.

Joan Sebastian was born José Manuel Figueroa on April 8, 1951, he remains one of the most famous singers and songwriters Mexico has. Although he had been diagnosed with bone cancer in 1997, it did not stop him from creating music. His versatility has helped him remain in the popular taste of the public. On July 26, 2012 he announced that his bone cancer has returned during one of his concerts for the third time.

Tigres Del Norte:

Los Tigres del Norte are back after a four-year hiatus with their latest studio album Realidades. The much-anticipated release debuted with instant number one hits on the iTunes Charts in the “Latino” and “Regional Mexican” sections.

A History of Relevancy and Hit Singles

With one of the most remarkable careers in Latin American music, Los Tigres del Norte formed in 1968 in San José, California. They were at first only popular at the local level until their 1974 song “Contrabando y Traición” (Contraband and Betrayal) launched them into international stardom. Since then, the conjunto has released several hit corridos about life, love, loss and the struggles of being in an imperfect word.

Los Tigres del Norte have sold over 32 million records and won five Latin Grammy Awards. The band recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Ramon Ayala:

Ramon Ayala started playing the accordion in 1951. He learned to play the drums in 1954. In 1955, he picked up the bajo sexto after his father Pedro Ayala, El Monarca del Acordeón, showed him his first two chords. By 1956, Ramon Ayala and his brother Pedro Ayala Jr., who played the accordion, joined their father in Pedro Ayala y Su Conjunto. Since 1956, Ramon Ayala has gone on to record for over a dozen studios releasing 88 recordings in album, single, cassette and CD formats. Ramon Ayala has recorded with Freddy Fender, Paulino Bernal and Esteban Jordan, among others. To date, he has released 105 recordings.
